What Is The Best Time Of The Year To Visit Malibu? Ready to dig in

You must have ever dreamed of driving down the Pacific Coast Highway with your windows down and the ocean breeze in your hair. Chances are Malibu is somewhere on your bucket list. It was definitely on mine.

The first time i visited Malibu, i was chasing sunshine, and those perfect beach sunsets that seems straight out of a movie. But timing is everything. So, when’s the best time to go? After a few visits and some not so sunny surprises, here’s what I’ve learned.

Malibu is beautiful year round, but if you want the best Malibu experience with golden skies and clear surfasble waves, late spring to early fall is your best bet.

I went once in March expecting sunshine, and while it wasnt freezing, it was cloudy, breezy, and not just the Malibu I had imagined. Locals will tell you about May & June where the skies stay cloudy well into the afternoon.

July through September, though? That’s when Malibu truly shines. People always go back in August to find what they want. The beaches were beautiful, weather was warm but not unbearable, and the sunsets? Unreal.

I spent hours at El Matador Beach with my feet in the sand, just soaking it all in. the water was warm rough to skin, and the air stayed pleasant even in the evening. There’s something magical about summer in Malibu, its like the whole town is glowing.

If you are not a fan of crowds, early october is also a sweet spot. The weather is still nice, but its quieter, and you will get a more peaceful vibe.

Winter months can be cooler and wetter, and while Malibu doesn’t get too cold, it loses a little bit of that sunny sparkle. You can still enjoy a beautiful drive or hike in the Santa Monica Mountains, but Beach lounging won’t be quite the same. So if you are planning your Malibu trip, aim for August and September.
